Our young group visited a local nursing home and planned a "Project Good Samaritan" outreach event. They spent time with the residents, singing songs, telling stories, and providing company. Joshua, one of the young members, thought back, "It was incredible to see how much happiness we made for the residents just by hanging about with them. It helped me to see how much displaying God's love through small deeds of compassion counts.

The group discussed the value of happiness and satisfaction during a Bible study on the book of Philippians. Sarah, one of the members, related how she had been battling anxiousness and uncertainty. She discovered peace and comfort in prayer and believed God's promises by learning to concentrate on Philippians 4:6–7 through the study and the support of the group.

Filipino BSG Ministries teamed with a nearby food bank to launch a food drive. Congregation members gave their time to gather, sift, and distribute food to underprivileged households. The event was quite successful, giving the community much-needed help and visibly proving Christ's love.
